F.A.Q.
Q: I am an avid cross-country rider with limited downhilling experience. How do I know what skill level I should be at?
A: This is a typical crossing over point for many people, they’ve been ripping the xc for years and are looking for a change. Our guess is if you’ve been riding for awhile you’ve probably got the necessary skills you’ve just never put them to use. Until you’ve tried it out a couple of times we wouldn’t recommend any tour over intermediate.
Q: I have a hardtail Norco mountain bike that I’ve been riding for a couple of years. Will this bike work for this kind of a trip.
A: We’ve seen it done before but it’s not pretty. The terrain is pretty rough on the bikes and without the rear suspension it’s going to be rough on you too. We strongly recommend a full suspension bike (5” and 5” at least). Luckily for you, we rent them. See our Gearing Up section for more information.
Q: I am a vegetarian, will meal concessions be made for me?
A: We like to provide a variety of choices for our riders anyway since everyone has different preferences but if you have strict dietary requirements please let us know at time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Q: My 16 year old son really wants to try downhilling. Do you allow minors?
A: Unfortunately at this time we are not able to accept anyone under the age of 18. We realize the grommets want to rip it too and are unable to get out to the mountains on their own so this is something we are looking into.
