Gearing Up

Don’t have the gear? No problem. We can rent it to you. Our sponsor Norco has hooked us up with tons of gear from bikes to apparel.

If you’re anything like us, you probably need to know what kind of bike you’d get and how much it weighs before you’re prepared to sign on any dotted line.

Our rental fleet consists entirely of 2011 Norco DH Races. This bike is strong and fast, designed for Whistler-style parks.

For safety reasons, all riders are required to wear full face helmets at a minimum.

Recommended equipment:

  • Dual suspension bike (required)
  • Full face helmet (required)
  • Leg and Arm Armor
  • Upper body protection – a jacket that adds protection to your chest, spine, shoulders and kidneys (highly recommended as it drastically reduces injuries)
  • Gloves – any mountain biking gloves will do though we recommend some specifically tailored to downhilling as these provide additional padding
  • Shoes – lace up or Velcro skate-type shoes work best if you plan to ride flat pedals.
  • Camelbak – riders preference but there are no bottle cages on these bikes so if you’re thirsty you’re out of luck until you reach the bottom. Don’t underestimate the importance of hydration!
  • Apparel – breathable jerseys, raingear and durable shorts. Motocross gear is fine depending on the weather.
  • Spare tubes – you never know when you’re going to blow a flat
